Tucked away in the rolling hills of South Wales, Sugarloaf Barn in Abergavenny gave us the most breathtaking backdrop for a romantic countryside wedding. We (Jenny & Hannah) had the absolute pleasure of capturing this beautiful day, which was a total joy to be part of!
This wedding was bursting with thoughtful personal touches that made it truly unforgettable. One of our favourite details? The bride’s dress, a stunning gown adorned with delicate floral appliqués in honour of her nickname, Daisy. The dress also had an amazing glitter layer that shimmered in the sunlight, it was honestly mesmerizing and added such a whimsical feel to the whole day.
Despite a full-blown summer heat wave, the couple and their guests powered through with good humour (and a last-minute delivery of hand-held fans!). It was one of those classic British weather moments – unexpectedly hot, but everyone just embraced it and made the most of every second. The venue was brilliant, providing ice cold water for the guests, all day.
The pastel-coloured florals were soft and romantic, adding a gentle pop of colour to the barn’s rustic charm. Everywhere you looked – from the bouquet to the table arrangements – there was a sense of elegance paired with a relaxed, joyful atmosphere.
We were lucky to work alongside a dream team of local Welsh wedding vendors who brought everything together so beautifully. Every detail, big and small, was curated with so much care and love. It was one of those days that reminds us exactly why we do what we do – full of laughter, happy tears, and the kind of love you can feel in the air.
